Foster Buds raising money for Bernie Sanders campaign (NBC News)

PORTLAND, Ore. – A Portland pot shop is taking sides this election season, with a “Burn One for Bernie” campaign.

The owner of Foster Buds, which has two dispensaries, said it will donate 10 percent of sales from every $10 “Farmer 12” joint to the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Store manager Ken Martin said the local business wants Sanders to know he has their support, due to his policies on legalizing marijuana.

“Everything he’s looking to do is for the betterment of us. He’s looking to keep the medical community, he sees the advancements – so why not support him?” Martin said.

The business, which has pot shops in both northeast and southeast Portland is also giving away “Burn One for Bernie” T-shirts.

I had a very specific need for 100% CBD in coconut oil, no hint of thc and they had it. I have found it to be a great help for my anxiety and panic disorder. I was treated respectfully and shown other CBD products with no thc. Very cool. Thanks for anxiety help ya'll."

    "This is my neighborhood place, and I feel like I really lucked out. I've been in many other dispensaries around town, and this is my favorite. It's welcoming and friendly, not at all pretentious. The staff knows their stuff and are always kind and helpful. Great prices, easy parking, quality product....what more can you ask for?!
